It was the summer of 2017 and we were visiting our family and friends from overseas. As a rule, Pakistanis are very hospitable and friendly. So, we went out for quite a few lunches and dinners at various casual and fine-dining restaurants - charging as much, if not more for a meal as one may experience in London, New York or Paris.

 

What was interesting that whenever we requested for mineral water, those known branded plastic bottles were placed in front of us, which don’t contribute much to an overall fine dining experience and image. In contrast, globally, not a single fine-dining restaurant serves water in a plastic bottle.
